Christmas in the City |
Spare a thought for the underprivileged in the season of good cheer and mirth to bring home the essence of Advent and the end that all festivities seek to achieve with Christmas Carnivals Christmas in the City.
Christmas in the City is a non-profit, voluntary organization which was founded by Jake and Sparky Kennedy in 1989.
Their mission is to support and mentor Boston’s homeless families. What initially began as an effort to make the Christmas holidays memorable for children staying in the Boston shelters has since then expanded to include programs throughout the year, including work to help families make a successful transition from homelessness to independent living.
The voluntary organization is there to help out those in need so that the helpless don’t go homeless. Christmas in the City maintains its work through voluntary donations, publicity programs and Christmas in the City series products such as the Gardens of Santorini, Christmas Treasures, The Ed Sullivan Theater and the like.
