Christmas Garden |
Your garden needs attention and care throughout the year but a little extra is required during the festive season. With Christmas round the corner everybody is busy decorating their households with all the niceties they can lay their hands on, but many of us remain totally nonchalant about the garden decor till it’s time to place the nativity scenes on the lawn.
We adorn the Christmas tree and the bushes in the vicinity but the rest of the garden remains unattended in most cases.
Christmas tree is an integral part of our holiday traditions and due attention should also be meted out to his peers and friends. Most people are unaware of the fact that the Christmas Garden adds a dash of glamour to the whole setting and your nativity scenes are actually likely to look more dazzling if you have as perfect Christmas garden to flaunt as its backdrop.
Christmas gardens are usually decorated with the traditional Christmas plants during this time of the year to bring in the Christmas feel. The most popular and common Christmas holiday plants are the Poinsettia, Christmas cactus and Cyclamen. They are most sought after, as they are found in a variety of colors (except Cactus) and usually bloom during the winter and spring seasons. Though many a people are not too confident about cactus as Christmas showers, the most interesting feature is that, there are times when a beautifully pruned cactus in full bloom looks far more breathtaking than many of their traditional flowering counterparts. If you desire to avoid the run of the mill garden décor, opt for azalea, Christmas begonia, chrysanthemum or a Kalanchoe. If you have adequate space to accommodate a tree or a bush, you could also opt for Liliaceae, Nuytsia floribunda Loranthaceae and other species of the like.
Here we have made an earnest attempt to shortlist all types of Christmas Garden ideas and we sincerely hope that our tips and suggestions would be of help to you.
