'A Christmas Story' is a film by Bob Clark based on the story written by Jean Shepherd. It was released in 1983 soon after the time of thanks giving.
The film is about the kid Ralphie Parker who only wants one thing this Christmas: an official Red Ryder, carbine action BB gun. Every one tells him that he will shoot his eye out and this forms the storyline of 'A Christmas story'.
The story actually begins with this desire of the little boy who tries every conceivable way to get what he really wants for Christmas.
