Kansas Classic Christmas Activity |
On what day does the sun rise twice, water flow backward and the poke salad flower? Christmas, of course! Start building castles in the air with Christmas Carnivals Kansas classic Christmas Activity! With all these fun, family-oriented attractions and activities, the sights in St. Louis are necessarily more spread out than Kansas City's.
However, it's easy to get around- asking for directions and watching people almost knock one another over in their race to be the first to help you. Or, look for the city's signature Gateway Arch (the country's tallest man-made national monument), which dominates the St. Louis skyline, and you can easily orient yourself.
Plus, the modern Metro Link rail system will whisk you with ease to your next destination.
The Annual Christmas Parade in Peabody takes place on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. This annual event has something for everyone. Activities begin in late afternoon including rides, clowns and much more. The highlight of the day is the lighted parade beginning at 6:00 p.m., sponsored by Peabody Main Street Association. With December just around the corner, Governor Kathleen Sebelius will usher in the Christmas season Monday with the arrival of the official Cedar Crest Christmas Tree. The ten-foot Scotch Pine will arrive at Cedar Crest at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, November 28.
It's never too late to create a family tradition. You can take your family out to the nearest Christmas tree farm, stroll through the tree plantation, and select and cut the perfect tree for the holidays. Kansas Christmas trees are the freshest you can get, and a freshly cut locally grown Christmas Tree lasts from mid-November all the way through the holiday season if it's properly cared for.
