I shall pass through this world but once.
Any good, therefore, that I can show to any human being, let me do it now.
Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.
Stephen Grellet.
There's no place like home for the holidays, and no one better to spend the season with than family.Christmas gives a rather good reason to do just what you like without the elders having to remind you of propriety. Christmas Carnivals brings you all you need to know about Adopt a Family for Christmas, an annual charity program.
Each year, The Salvation Army helps families, who are in crisis, enjoy a special Christmas. The families who seek The Salvation Army's help are facing financial hardships, unable to afford a Christmas dinner or toys for their children. Some are single parent families with very low incomes; some are large families where the earning member has been living unemployed, etc.
The Salvation Army provides those of us, who are not living in financial crisis, with the opportunity to assist needy families through their Adopt-A-Family program. It can be worthwhile noting you do not have to be wealthy to assist a family in need.
The Adopt-A-Family program encourages individuals, churches, groups and institutions help spread some Christmas cheer by sponsoring a family in crisis during Christmas.
Christmas conjures up so many thoughts and dreams and maybe your reality is going to be different this year. Don't just sit at home and mope! Plan a little something special for your-self and think of new traditions that you can start in your new situation. Check out Christmas Carnivals Adopt a Family for Christmas.
