Its best to keep the plants in a sunny location indoor but overexposure to sunlight can mar its growth. If the plant is placed on a windowsill, shade is to be provided with the help of glass curtains. Well-drained soil is a mandate and its best to opt for commercially packaged potting mix while an occasional application of a weak solution of liquid houseplant fertilizer every 2 to 3 weeks can also be attempted upon. Bud dropping can be avoided by repotting the plant at regular intervals and also when the soil becomes depleted of nutrients or when excessive root sprouting occurs.
