Ingredients: 1-cup sugar, 1 cup butter, I tablespoon light corn syrup, 1 1/2 cup salted cashew pieces Cook sugar, butter and corn syrup in a saucepan over a low heat. After some time add cashews. Spread to 1/4-inch thickness on waxed paper lined baking pan and let it cool. Break it into pieces and gorge on the delicacies. Enjoy the cookie.
Rolled Sugar Cookies Ingredients: 1/2 c Butter, 1/2 c Sugar, 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 1 Egg, 2 c Flour and 2 tsp Baking Powder
Mix the margarine, sugar, vanilla and egg till they are light and fluffy. Add flour and baking powder and blend it well. Leave the dough in refrigerator for two hours and roll out on a lightly floured surface until 1/8 inch thick. Cut with a cookie cutter and keep it on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake the mixture for 10 minutes in a 375-degree. Cool before storing.
Christmas Gingerbread Ingredients: 6.5 lbs honey, 3 lbs sugar, 1 lb water, 15 lbs bread flour, 1 oz ground ginger, 1 oz. ground cloves, 1 1/2 oz. Cinnamon, 1/2 oz. ground anise seeds, 4 oz. bakers ammonia, 2 oz. Potash and 2 cups of milk
Heat honey, sugar and water in a pan until melted. Mix bakers ammonia with 1 cup of milk. After that mix potash with 1 cup of milk. Blend all the ingredients and prepare dough. You can roll out the gingerbread as and when desired. When not in use keep the dough in the refrigerator.
Tasty Pumpkin Cookies Ingredients: 2 cups butter, 2 eggs, 2 tsp vanilla extract, 2 tsp. baking powder,
1 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. allspice, 1 cup chopped walnuts 2 cups sugar, 2 cups fresh (or canned) pumpkin, 4 cups flour (sifted), 1 tsp. baking soda, 2 tsp. cinnamon, 2 cups raisins.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all the ingredients and prepare the dough. Drop one-inch dough balls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake the dough balls for 15 minutes.
Lime Pistachio Cookies Ingredients: 1-cup butter or margarine, softened, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, 2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon grated lime peel, 1 cup finely chopped pistachios
Mix well butter and sugar and beat in egg. Add flour, lime peel, pistachios and prepare the dough. Keep the dough for 1 hour. Preheat the oven 375F. Roll dough ¼ inch thick and cut shapes with cookie cutters. Place an ungreased baking sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes. After that cool and pipe icing to outline cookie s. Enjoy them as a Christmas treat.
Lime Icing:
Blend butter, powdered sugar, milk and lime peel until smooth.
Orange Pecan Cookies for Christmas
Ingredients: 3 C. sifted flour, 2 t. baking powder, 1/2 t. soda, 1/2 t. salt,
1/2 C. sugar, 1 C. brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1 T. grated orange rind,
1/2 C. sour cream, 3/4 C. butter, 1 C. chopped pecans, Pecan halves for garnish (about 8 ounces)
Frosting: 2 C. sifted powdered sugar, 1 t. grated orange rind, 1/8 t. salt, 3 T. orange juice, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Whip butter and add sugar. Now mix eggs and orange rind. Stir in sour cream and blend in dry ingredients. Put chopped pecans. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet and bake at 375° F. for 10 minutes.
