To make your year's Christmas a happening one, tune in to Christmas Carnivals Willy Melt and Betty Won't. The couple of Willy and Betty are snow people, a couple adorned in a wreath of mistletoe, while Betty dons a shawl and a cane hat, flung with a twig of holly.
The lady's stole is fastened in the center with a heart-shaped bow pin whereas Willy's muff is wrung loosely about his collar. Create your own adaptation of Willy and Betty for a craft project this December.
Materials needed are clothes-peg and doll pin stand and decorative snow for the body, black acrylic paint, pink blush and Q-tip for the face, toothpick and orange acrylic paint for the nudge, and miniature baskets, wreaths, small flowers, buttons, mini-garland, straw as well as plastic hats for the accents. Make the body taking doll pin stand and slide on to end of clothespin. Paint both ends of a wooden toothpick with orange paint, which will make two noses. After letting dry, glue nose to center of the head of the clothespin. For the Snow, using a wooden craft stick, cover the clothespin with decorative snow helps. Spread snow evenly with a toothpick. Let dry completely.
For the face, dot the eyes with black acrylic paint. Place one dot directly below nose, which will help to center your smile, and then place two dots on either side of the center one. Let dry. Use a Q-tip to apply pink blush for cheeks. Make Willy by gluing a plastic top hat to his head. Cut a scrap of fabric. Tie around neck with glue. Cut out a mini garland and bend it into a circle to form wreath. Tie a small bow of and glue to top of wreath. For Betty, cut a piece of scrap fabric. Wrap around Betty for a shawl. Glue a small button to shawl front. Glue a straw hat to top of head. Decorate hat with bits of mini-garland and button. For other tips, you can also make ear muffs with stove wire. This project is for kids. For more news, go through Christmas Carnivals. Willy Melt and Betty Won't.
