The song White Christmas is undoubtedly the most famous and popular of all times. The music and lyrics for White Christmas were written by Irving Berlin in 1942. The film is directed by Michael Curtis from the Paramount Pictures work-station.
After leaving the army after WWII, Bob Wallace and Phil Davis team up for a top song-and-dance act where Davis plays matchmaker and introduces Wallace to a pair of beautiful sisters (Betty and Judy) who also have a song-and-dance act in store. When Betty and Judy travel to Vermont to perform for a Christmas show, Wallace and Davis follow, only to find that their former commander, General Waverly, is the lodge owner. A series of romantic mix-ups succeed as the performers try to help the General.
The cast includes Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye in the two lead roles, with Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen as the sisters. The "Sisters" comedy act that Bing and Danny perform was not there originally in the script. They were clowning around on the set and the director thought it was so funny that it was incorporated.
