- Begin by selecting a good quality Santa Claus melon. It is always best to get a vine-ripened Santa Claus melon, but they will also ripen on the kitchen countertop. When the Santa Claus melon is ripe, the melon rind will yield to slight pressure, particularly on the ends.
- Thoroughly wash the Santa Claus melon and cut in half lengthwise, exposing the seeds.
- Gently scrape out and discard the seeds, and serve the melon "as is" to eat with a spoon.
- Cut the Santa Claus Melon into slices, and enjoy as finger-food.
(Genesis 1:29-31): 'Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-- everything that has the breath of life in it-- I give every green plant for food. And it was so." Browse Christmas Carnivals Santa Claus Melon.
