Winged Wonders |
With guests flocking in during the holiday season, we are left with hardly any time for experimentation and innovation. You are tired of racking your brains to find out that suitable Christmas cookie recipe and your naughty kids and their friends are driving you crazy.
After a whole days shopping for Christmas trims and showers, you are way too stressed out to prepare cookies and candies.
This is the usual and routine pre-Christmas situation for most working mothers. If your situation is somewhat similar, we have a solution for you. Opt for the Winged Wonders. The very name would get your kids pouring in to help you prepare them. They are the ideal last minute cookies that are extremely timesaving and by far the easiest to implement. You can prepare the said cookie within a span of 30 minutes.
Ingredients for Winged Wonders
· 1 18-oz. tube refrigerated sugar cookie dough
· 1 bags M & M ' S ® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holidays
· 1 bag STARBURST ® Brand Fruit Chews
· 1 16-oz. container vanilla frosting
· A non-sticky cookie sheet
· Angel cookie cutter
Procedure for Winged Wonders
The oven should be preheated to 350 degrees. Roll the cookie dough to an approximate 1/4-inch thickness and using the angel cookie cutter, cut out 8 angels.
Bake the cut out angels on a non-sticky cookie sheet for a minimum of 10-12 minutes until it turns golden brown. Don't start on the decoration unless the cookies have completely cooled down.
As for decoration, ice the angels with vanilla frosting and cover the wings and bodies with M & M ' S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for the Holidays, by pressing them into the frosting. Shape 8 of the STARBURST® Brand Fruit Chews into small circles and attach them as faces on each of the cookies. This arrangement yields 8 cookies.
Serve them with other goodies and candies or simply gift pack them and pass them off as holiday showers.
